MGLC has a collection of over 3,600 prints, 800 artists' books, and other art publications.
The bulk of the works included in the collection of prints were created after World War II. Their authors are prominent artists of the Paris School from the first post-WW2 decades, members of the Cobra group, artists from Eastern Europe, and members of the Ljubljana Graphic Art School. Slovene artists are represented by Vladimir Makuc's graphic work, and large segments of Danilo Jejèiè's and Lojze Spacal's work, donated to the MGLC collection by the artists or their heirs.
The collection of artists' books and other publications contains works by eminent and internationally renowned artists. The majority of these artworks were created since the 1960s. The collection includes all artistic newspaper projects of the Vienna museum in progress, published in Der Standard daily from 1990 to 2002; all issues of the hybrid Point d'Ironie newspaper; Red Lights by Miha Maleš from 1927; the West-East anthologies, edited by Franci Zagoriènik in the 1970s and 1980s; and most of the artists' publications by the OHO group members from the 1960s and 1970s.
