Silistra Fortress

It is built in 18th Century from the Turkish called Medjidit. Still some of the locals call it Medjidit Tabia - The forthess of Medjidit. There were 7 m high walls and 3 m width. The fortress is still in a very good condition. The workers were killed after building as they knew its secrets. You still can see peoples bones inside the fortress when walking around. It is build on the highest hill in Silistra and the view from the hill is amazing.
